City of Leicester - Business Gateway

This is the combination of a new 500,000 sf prime office quarter around the rail station and the creation of a new station building and entrance from a new public square.

New Business Quarter

The first phase of the New Business Quarter, known as Colton Square has been completed by the developer and investor Goodman, and provides in excess of 100,000 sf of Grade A office space, restaurant, and on site secure parking. Lettings have progressed well, and accommodation is ready to move into immediately.

Cathco the owner of the International House site on Granby Street have detailed planning permission for 90,000 sf of first class offices together with ground floor retail space, and secure on site parking. Cathco are seeking tenant or purchaser interest now.

St Georges

St Georges Central offers superbly located, large floor plate refurbished office space.

Concept designs for Station Plaza are complete, providing 300,000sf of Grade A space immediately adjacent to the rail station. In addition around 25,000 sf of ancillary retail and leisure space will be provided, together with parking for 1,000 cars. Further work is being undertaken and developer/investor interest will be sought in 2010.

Concept designs for a new station building incorporating the new main entrance, extra retail and leisure space, larger concourse, new ticketing, and public facilities have been completed. The new entrance will open on to a new public square facing the city centre and will offer an open and attractive environment to the station.

Incorporated within the design proposal is a new high quality hotel, and developers, investors and operators will be sought in 2010.
