University Development Opportunities
Leicestershire is home to three top performing universities - unique for a non-metropolitan area. There are development opportunities available for two of the Leicestershire based universities.
De Montfort University
De Montfort University has two significant development projects on the west side of the city center fronting the inner ring road. A number of different uses can be considered, subject to planning permission.
Loughborough University Science Park
This 8 Ha developer opportunity to create a major science park is located on the western edge of Loughborough immediately adjacent to the University. There is excellent access to both the town centre and dual carriageway connection to Junction 23 of the M1 motorway.
Outline planning permission has been granted and feasibility studies completed to enable this project to proceed swiftly.
University of Leicester £1bn masterplan
The masterplan - devised by Architects Shepheard Epstein Hunter would allow the university campus to be increased in size by 50 per cent and help it move into the top ten of British universities.
