LBV's 5th Burned Out Night held on 26 January celebrated Robbie Burns and the achievements of LBV - thank you to everyone who supported the sell-out event and to James Bowie and the team at the Belmont Hotel for hosting a great evening.
LBV and the Leicester Comedy Festival celebrated the launch of the Comedy Festival at Breakfast with a Smile on the 5 February. Thank you to Aatin Anadkat and the team at Hotel Maiyango for hosting the event. Enjoy the Comedy Festival everyone which runs until 21 February.

Your opportunity to comment on economic strategy for the next ten years
The consultation on Leicester and Leicestershire's Draft Economic Strategy and Economic Assessment has been launched. The outcome will determine the economic priorities over the next ten years. It follows six months of preparation work on the sub-regional economy involving public, private and other sectors. Your comments are welcome.

Want to save you and your business money on travel?
Smarter Travel Leicester provides employers with the opportunity to find out how you could save money on travel costs. It will also promote the benefits to staff and business reputation that can be generated through reviewing business and home to work travel.
You are invited to a Smarter Travel Leicester workshop that will highlight the business benefits and provide you with a taster of different ways to help deliver them. The workshop will provide information on grants, best practice, policies and special discounts for attendees. In addition, you will have your own hands-on opportunity to go on a driving simulator.
The 2 hour workshop is being held on two different dates - 18th March (8am to 10am) or 23rd March (4pm to 6pm) in Leicester city centre. To book, please RSVP by Friday 26th February and click HERE stating your preferred date. A confirmation e-mail will then be sent back with venue details. The cost is £25 (plus vat) with the guarantee that if a business does not at least save £250 from attending the workshop, the registration will be refunded!
